Not a reader of that thread, or a follower of Bullis mom, but the proud recipient of a JD and a member of the Bar (like 75% of DCUM readers), so here goes:

You are not being slandered. You can't be personally identified, so there has been no damage to your reputation IRL. Also, slander is spoken communication, not written.

Also, I have never heard of the tort of "allowing slander." But it's a common law tort, so YMMV

Not a free speech/ 1st amendment issue. DCUM is not a governmental entity. Jeff can censor all day long and be fine.

But, I would be careful about making threats on a public forum. Particularly with DC on edge over the potential metro terror attacks. I mean, I assumed that you were vaguely threatening to sue DCUM (which you can't). But the NSA could decide you have more sinister intentions. In fact, your threat could be the reason metro is shut down, and the FBI could be surrounding your house as you read. Plus side: Gito is lovely this time of year

I don't agree with your assessment. I'm not sure if you are aware, but I was 'outed' not long ago, Jeff knows who I am personally, and as a result of someone posting my public information on this forum, lots of others are aware of who I am every time Jeff makes comments that shows he can link my IP address to me personally. If nothing comes of that, there is no issue. If something does, it's apparently documented on this forum.

Not really worried about the other bits, but thanks for the tip! You are exactly the type of attorney I'd expect in this area. And you've kind of made every lawyer joke relevant - LOL.

Bullis Mom, you are vile. No one has said anything derogatory about your daughter; however, you are most definitely fair game. You've even identified yourself, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. You have added absolutely nothing constructive to the issue of that thread - only your deranged hate for Langley HS. You are no hero, though you clearly fancy yourself one.

I feel sorry for your neighbors, who probably do send their kids to Langley. I'm sure they take cover whenever they see you coming as they know you'll have nothing but bitterness and bile to spew about the school their kids attend. I am eternally glad you took your kid and left the Langley community. We're all better off for it.

And I quote:

".....to claim VICTORY all because your child didn't succeed at Langley"

My child was a straight A student and has been since elementary. I defended this attack on my child. It was deleted.

Ok this is actually funny. Please believe me when I say we do not talk about when you're not single-handedly hijacking a thread to torture it and make it your own. There's zero concern for slander.

I'm not taking about that aspect, as one cannot 'hijack' that kind of story. NBC broke it, and I'm sure there are people very upset that the news got out. I'm not one of them. Kids were badly affected by this, and heads should roll as a result.

What I'm referring to are the poster(s) coming after me personally and my daughter personally. Jeff is deleting my responses to them, which are simply attempts to clear up their misconceptions. By doing so, he is allowing their nasty comments about us stand. If he was truly a fair man, he would delete their posts as well. He is not.

For what it's worth, I defended him when a poster said awful things about wanting his wife and child to die. He knows this. I did not allow my personal feelings to interfere with what is right. Seems I'm alone in that. No surprise.

Life with you must be one hard slog though manufactured drama. No one has "come after" your daughter. You, on the other hand - yes, and for good reason. You deserve it, and then some. As for your daughter, I'm so sorry that she and your other kids have to live with you in such an oppressive and self-righteous environment.

I'm fine with people coming after me. No issues.

My daughter is quite successful - still pulling all As - as a southern Ivy. Boys are fine too. All is good here. Thank you for checking in.

Did the administration act badly in the situation involving the German teacher? Yes or no?

The Ivy League consists of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Penn – all schools located in the northeast. What if you want to attend college in the south to be near your family or due to an aversion to cold climates? Well, there are plenty of world-renowned institutions of higher learning in the American south, and it just so happens that eight of them provide educational experiences and pedigrees that many would say are comparable to that of the “Ivy League.” While a few of the colleges on this list may not be traditionally as highly regarded, they are still considered well-respected substitutes for the eight schools of the Ivy League and a paper from one of these institutions will certainly never hold you back from your ambitious dreams. The term “Harvard of the South” is often associated with all eight of these elite southern colleges, but I prefer to call these colleges “the Magnolia League.”

Do you hear yourself?

Just call it a "well-regarded college" and we'll believe you.
Further explanations, especially those expressed with such deluded self-complacency, greatly undermine your credibility.

I didn't write this. It was copy/pasted from another site. Someone asked, I responded.

Personally? We didn't care where she went, so long as she's happy. She cared, since she's chasing a degree in the medical field.

So you admit you plagiarized someone else's work? And that you didn't pause to think that this sort of fruity long-winded explanation sounds defensive and ridiculous?

I'm glad your daughter is thriving.

According to your many posts on the subject, your daughter had many issues at Langley which is why you pulled her. This is all according to YOU. Perhaps you've overshared one time too many.

That was the best laugh I've gotten all night. I think it's clear her daughter's at Ole Miss. Or maybe Alabama.

Thank you for the clarification. At least now you've proven that you do not know how to respond to a question with a relevant response.
