Robbery in NWDC, near River and Western

How do we even know that this actually happened? Nothing in the post about witnesses. We are just assuming that the victim is telling the truth.

NP. Nice try. Profiling happens for a reason and, while there may be some bigotry involved, it's also based on frequency of occurrences - i.e. fact.

There was another robbery a few blocks away. Should we just "assume" that that victim is telling the truth also?

Of course when formerly pretty safe areas are start to be impacted, the cops should be on it to prevent crime from spreading. Unless, of course, DC wants to go back to the good ol' Barry days, when downtown told Upper NW that you're on your own.

There were 2 incidents of robbery w/ force and violence:

one event was on/near 44th and Davenport (so kinda by the Safeway); the other shortly thereafter was on/near 47th and Davenport.

I've lived here a long time and this sort of thing happens EVERY MONTH on a street of brick Colonials near either Wisconsin or Connecticut. The trick is to have it not be you. Odds are, it won't be.
