I think this is a great list and I use some of the strategies too, just wanted to point out that St. John's Wort may interfere with the effectiveness of the Pill. Just as an FYI

I'm considering trying it this winter.

Didn't know Brahmi helped. Did you try this PP?

Can someone explain bright light therapy?

5-HTP has worked wonders for me but don't take it if you are on anti-depressants. http://depression.about.com/od/5-HTP/a/5-HTP-For-Depression.htm

Yes. Absolutely amazing. Also a great natural sleep aid. Also my HS student uses it for concentration.

They have light boxes (some are sold at Barnes and Noble if you want to see it in person, they are on Amazon as well) that you turn on and sit near in the morning, but for no more than 20 min or so.

OP here- I just purchased the light therapy box off amazon. Reviews are encouraging. I just spent most of my day in bed and used the TV as a babysitter for DC. It was beautiful day outside. I hate living like this this. I hope this works. Let's go amazon prime. I'll keep you posted.

Anyone who uses B complex-- can you recommend a brand that works?

Yes, exercise works wonders. What do you do if you are too depressed to exercise? I think the motivation part is a huge hurdle here.
