How old are your kids and where did you go this summer?

Kids are 6, 4 and 3. We went to London and California.

8 year old. Did Mystic, CT this year and Williamsburg last year. Both were huge hits.

6 yr old twins. One week at the beach in Indian Shores Florida, a few days at Disney, and one week in Rehoboth.

Last summer we went to England but couldn't afford to go abroad this year but next summer hopefully we will have enough frequent flyer miles to go to Italy!

One 18 month old, Paris.

at 18months and 4 we went to Moab, UT and hikes all over Arches and Canyonlands NP. At 2.5 and 5 we went to Bethany beach. Wouldn't do anything differently with either trip. I am a firm believer that kids will have fun just about anywhere, so pick vacation you want to do.

3 and 5 also! Boston (Children's Museum, family, the common) and Ocean City. Can't wait for Europe with them. Nova Scotia sounds awesome. Were there flights involved? Tell about that and the hotels...

And I can't wait to take the kids to Boston! We flew into Halifax, rented a car, flew out of Sydney. We stayed at these places:

The Cape Breton National Park was really great and many hikes were appropriate for little kids. The exchange rate was great so it ended up being more affordable than expected. I also think it would have been nice to fly into Charlottetown PEI, rent a car, then fly out of either Sydney or Halifax.

7, 7 and 8 (boys)

Big trip was to Hawaii (ohau north shore and maui) - long trip to get there but kids did fine. Little trips to North Conway, NH (white mountains hiking) and Ongunquit, ME (we live in the Boston area). Taking two last long weekend trips - one to NJ to see family (and maybe a day trip to the shore) and Labor Day back in NH. We also did a short trip to Florida and Sedona / Grand Canyon over spring break. I feel like this is peak travel time with kids - when they can start appreciating and it's not a disaster if they stay up late / off schedule.

Looking for inspiration for a winter trip and next summer but haven't landed on ideas yet. Has anyone done a vancouver trip during the summer? How was it? Where did you go? Thinking about Europe too but cost of flights for a family of 4 seems prohibitive.
