Dumb kids. Suspend the frat for a semester.
Does anyone monitor the hate speech of black youths with similar intensity or do we only play "gotcha" with white boys these days? |
Oklahoma is not in the south. |
| I am sure the whites are more persecuted than the blacks at this point, what a flip. |
Yes it is. |
| The SAE chapter at my university drugged girls with cat tranquilizers, so I'm not really surprised at this. |
|
Someone failed geography. OK is NOT in the south. |
SAE Nationals closed the chapter indefinitely. |
Geographically it's in the southwest but the social expectations are very southern, meaning a veneer of politeness is expected even if there's something unpleasant underneath. |
+1 It's not the "Deep South," but socio-culturally OK is quite southern. |
Only whites can be racist |
To clarify (though I am not the PP) -- Anybody can hate anybody. Anybody can be bigoted against anybody. Anybody can be racist against minorities. There is no such thing as racism against whites. |
| Whites are a minority in MoCo, but they still can't be the victim of racism |
|
Are people really defending this?
Take out the n-word and it's still hate speech. Make this about any race or color or even females and it's still hateful. This is awful and embarrassing. Anyone who thinks this should be tolerated in any form or fashion is, well, I don't even know. There should be no tolerance for anything even remotely like this. |
Someone Anyone Everyone? I'm shocked! At my school, they were busted for drugging and blindfolding pledges and then driving them 100 miles from school and leaving them in the woods in the middle of the night. So a racist song doesn't surprise me at all. |
