Rate my Holiday open house menu please

I agree with adding ham. I think your menu sounds very bready otherwise. I assume none of your guests are gluten free, because if so all they'll be able to eat is fruit right now.

And the eggnog!

I think your menu sounds lovely, but I agree with PPs to add ham or bacon. I'm not a sweets for breakfast person, so I'd gravitate towards the fruit, which isn't very filling.

That being said.. Anyone serving mimosas is doing brunch right and deserves kudos for that kind of refined menu

Maybe make one of them a crustless quiche which would be good for those watching their carbs and (I think) those avoiding gluten.

Yes, no gluten free folks or other allergies / restrictions , but a good point if I didn't eat regularly with this group, thank you

Also, I am planning on doing bacon wrapped asparagus but was around for the asparagus serving debacle and left it out for this thread . Ridiculous I know but that was a long heated thread and j didn't want to revive the issue !
Does that cover my meat or do ham too ?

OP here , how could I forget eggnog ?

Honey baked ham and biscuits would be terrific. Don't forget the spicy dijon!

Not PP. But I think that the ham would still be a nice touch. Your menu sounds delicious.

Ham and biscuits is usually salty country ham. Not sweetish city ham. Different things entirely.

Christmasy salad:

Baby arugula
Pomegranate seeds
Candied pecans
Orange segments

Viniagrette on the side

Ham is good.
A friend of mine always serves a beef tenderloin roast as the centerpiece, and its a huge hit.

Well, yes, but that doesn't mean you can't do it. It's not like a violation of the Virginia ham code or anything.

But OP, if you're inviting any ham purists, you could either do the honey baked with rolls, or get a country ham with biscuits.

OP here , by General consensus I need to do ham and am leaning towards ham and biscuits
Can I get away with pre made biscuits and ham steak , with mustard , maybe 2 types , for condiments ?

Op here , by ham steak I mean the salty ham PP was mentioning
