I grew up here in the 70s. Monkfish was very popular b/c it was so cheap. It was called poor man's lobster.

Dad: meatloaf and potatoes

My mother only made stuffed shells when I was very little though, by the time I was ten she'd stopped making it.

I looooved my moms beef stew growing up. She made it for me once as an adult and it was so gross, all canned veggies dumped in a pot with some beef and cooked on a simmer for hours.
