Hi op, I'd be annoyed too!

Move beds together. Try to borrow a travel crib or mini packnplay which will take up less space. Bring bed rail and share bed with older dc. Remember to finish your wine at dinner

I don't understand the issue here at all. You are getting 2 free nights at a beach house. Bring a pack and play, sleeping bag and foam for the kid, and figure it the hell out.

I'm not understanding how this is any way "drama." A free room in a beach house, no matter the size, is a gift. Say thank you (or no thank you, if you're not interested). But if you go, figure it out on your own. And buy dinner/groceries/etc for everyone for a night.

The problem is the baby. With two beds or pushed together, parents can share with toddler, either all together or toddler with one parent. Babies need baby contraptions for safety and it doesn't sound like there is the space for a mini crip/playpen. Will other people have kids there? What are they doing?

Yup - new rule for me: free is not worth it cuz it ain't free (just spent 6 days with 11 adults and 5 kids in a 3 bedroom beach condo).

I wouldn't go. A big part of vacation for me is relaxing in bed so if I can't do that it's not a vacation. Plus one bathroom for 8 people? Hell no. Plus a six hour drive? No fucking way.

One parent with preschooler. One with baby. We've done this on cruise ships with small cabins. NBD.

Was about to suggest this. Baby won't care about the beach. You get 2 nights of peace and quiet (relative) without toddler.
