Will Schools Be Opened tomorrow Tuesday March 4th?

No school tomorrow in any MD school mostly because there is nobody there to plow out the lots and buses. I'd say there is a good chance that there will also be a two hour delay for Wed.

I think (hope) admin offices are open but they might have. A delayed opening.

My guess based on experience alone? Closed on Tuesday, 1 hour delay on Wednesday.

There is no longer such a thing as a one-hr delay.

13:56: What are you talking about? MD is a an entire state, not just where you live. And the school system is organized by county (as are the buses).

Depends on how much progress can be made on the roads.

On Feb. 14, the admin offices were closed. Driving around that afternoon, it seemed kind of silly since we had a lot of melting that day due to the sun and warmer temps. But I guess they just couldn't make progress on the roads and didn't elect to do a delay on admin offices. (Then again, Mont. County govt was closed that day, as well. So it wasn't only MCPS Admin who elected not to open.)

But we also had about a foot of snow with that storm vs. about 5 inches with this one. It seems that the admin office threshold should be the same as that of any other business. So by that line of thinking, they would be open tomorrow. Or at the most just a delay.

They SHOULD be, but they are not. The admin offices are closed more than regular businesses or federal gov't.

Just got back from sledding at our school, and nothing has been plowed or shoveled.

That is really the best way to tell..look at your neighborhood school..of course there are 12 more hours before they need to make a decision so alot can change.

If the Administrative Offices are closed tomorrow, they are just taking a holiday at taxpayer expense. No school buses drive the administrative staff to work so not sure what the excuse would be.

If the parking lot at 850 Hungerford isn't plowed.

This depresses me. I wanted one more day.
