Holton Arms gets an Emmy's Red carpet shout out from the wealthiest woman in Hollywood

This is absolutely hysterical.

Fin.

JLD is from DC (Spring Valley) couldn't go to nearby NCS because she was Jewish.

Sorry for all the negative responses -- anonymity breeds snark, I guess -- but I think that's great that they acknowledged their schools (and enjoyed it when Jonathan Ogden mentioned St. Albans during his NFL Hall of Fame acceptance speech). It's nice when successful people acknowledge a good start or good support from their respective high schools.

"Didn't" rather than "couldn't" would be more accurate as your choice of verb.

Thats serious BS you're slinging there. I'm the same age as JLD and went to NCS and I'm Jewish. My DD attends NCS. I can tell you there were a lot more Jewish girls there back in my day than there are now.

Hilarious. You know, Holton mom, you do the school no favors with your ridiculousness. But you've been told that before.

And Julia made quite an impact at Holton - smart, charismatic, class president, honor council president, community service, and the best on-stage comedienne any of us had ever seen, even back then. Coming from money didn't even enter the conversation. And she has managed to become a television icon while leading a life remarkably free of Hollywood-type scandal. I think she would have been successful in any career she chose. Yes, in my opinion, she's a terrific role model.

Nope. You're actually the one who posted twice.

This was my first post on this thread. Just weighing in with some first-hand perspective.

Agreed.

I'm actually the one folks always call Holton mom and this is my first post on this thread. I actually saw the shout out last night and it was a desperate attempt by Juliana to show some point of connection with JLD. Julianna went to Whitman (which is not Holton!). I thought someone should let Holton know about it.

Why? Why did Holton need to know that Guiliana attended Whitman?

No pp == Holton should know they got a shout out.

I can't believe I am weighing in on this. Guliana Rancic has actually done a lot of charity work for her alma mater U or Maryland (which has a great communications program) and she also has a masters degree from I think American U. She may be annoying but she ain't dumb and she works very hard and has basically helped build the E entertainment brand. You gotta give her that. As an aside her candor discussing breast cancer including all the surgery..I think a lot of people thought twice about skipping an early mammogram.
