Teacher not doing anything for constipated crying preschooler

OP here
I may be naive but
I don't expect them to spoon feed the kids, I am ok with nit wiping their snot even if it hangs down to their knees, but this? I don't know, I would like to get a call.
I was for example asked to pick my DS earlier if at all possible after he once woke up after nap and would not on his bed and cried a little. Only once! And they told me they don't want him to suffer and if I could come 15 mins earlier. Which I thought was kind of out of line, as he is ok most days.
But in this case they didn't do anything?

Shouldn't the teacher at least send the kid to the nurse for her to deal with it?

Huh?

Just.... Huh?

I am sure this I neither the first nor the last time the kid will be constipated. Seriously. Get a grip,

I would too PP. I'm horrified by the attitudes of a lot of other PP s in this thread towards their children. It's sad that they don't care that their kids are in pain and even worse that the parents don't care. I would want to know immediately and would expect a call.

"Horrified" and "sad"? you sound like an idiot. Constipation is something to send in the daily note or email. It doesn't warrant an emergency call.

He's constipated, OP. It happens. Perhaps his parents were already aware. Maybe it happens regularly and the staff know they just need to let him sit there for a while.

They were probably tired of hearing him cry and figured that you could come early and relieve them. Daycare workers are very protective of their down time during naps.

And I don't blame them.
But it turns out unless something like this happens at nap time, nobody really cares?

OP here- so, I get it, I seem overreacting to many.
My next question is then- would they call ME about MY kid if I asked them?
