So glad to have Ms. Obama as the First Lady!!!

Here, here. It's a DRESS, people. The woman inside of it is EXTRAORDINARY. As is her husband. It's a new day.

I care because it's embarrassing to have a first lady with no fashion sense! She is supposed to be a role model! One of her duties is to represent our nation to the world. Seriously, now I'm really scared about the next 4 years.

What a catty post - I am not a fan of Michelle's but if the dress she wore reflects her taste - then so be it. I hate it when people criticize other people for their personal choices - especially something as unimportant as clothing. It is a choice she made that has no impact on anyone.

No, dear. What's embarrassing is your post. And Michelle has a great fashion sense, but that's pretty irrelevant in the larger scheme of things.

She is a good role model. She says you don't have to be a fashion queen to make a difference in the world.

Actually, yes, I did write that tongue-in-cheek, didn't think anyone would notice. You caught me.

I'm sure she'll be fine, but I personally loved Laura Bush.

Oh yeah, and the Biltmore is such a bargain place. So accessible to the ordinary people of Arizona.

in between all my tears of joy I couldn't help but to mention the dress to my husband, it looked like she was going to a Halloween party but still, I love our new first lady!

9:39, well said. While I didn't like Michelle's dress at all last night, it did look like something she would have bought at Macy's or maybe even TJ Maxx.

Have no fear, fashionistas. She will have an image pro working on her promptly, definitely in time for the inauguration. Remember how everyone made fun of Hilary Clinton's "Arkansas" clothes? And look at her now!

I hated the dress too, but it actually photographed better than it was "televised". (Look at the slideshows on HuffPo.)

But ultimately, who cares? She's going to be a brilliant FL regardless of what she wears.

I liked the dress.

I did not notice the dress, I was too busy listening to her husband make an acceptance speech to become the 44th president of the United States!!!
