My neighbor (who got into to 2 schools) sent her paperwork and declined her spot on the same day. Love her.

. I don't know how much "declining spots" action is going to happen now that we're into spring break. But there's only one week between end of Spring Break and enrollment deadline for charters (and hopefully Stokes will get their lists out on Apr12!) so there will hopefully be plenty of reporting back on Waitlist movement week after break.

Really hope the charters are serious about coordinating enrollment lists this year and asking people on more than one list to choose. That will make ALL the difference in moving and settling lists faster!

11:06 here, yeah, you're right PP. But was hoping that the charter results would spur some folks to report turning down a PS3 slot at a DCPS. We are on mid teen and two high 20s for a few DCPS (our best hopes)...

Are you staying in touch with the schools directly? DCUM can be like an acid test of declines, but nothing is better than staying in contact directly with the schools you're watching to see who's declining.

Do people give up spots at Haynes?

What about SWS? Anyone giving up a spot there? Pretty please!

I know someone who did. Mom really wanted Haynes, but Dad really wanted French Immersion. After he went and did all the paperwork (generally a job that would have defaulted to her) to register the child for the lottery, and they got lucky, she decided that since it meant so much to him that is what they would do.

You just made #1 on the IT WL VERY VERY happy! (I'm not that #1, but I'm happy for them, and for you that you love your IB school!)

Are you willing to name your IB? Not because I want to make judgmental comments but because we turn down a PS3 spot at IT for our IB.

Sorry, meant we "might" turn down...
