Oldtown or Georgetown.
You will see grown men in Salmon colored pants and madras shirts. It is a lot like Greenwich, CT in terms of style. I find Georgetown has a greater mix of European residents so there is some high fashion---less Southern feel. |
Thanks PPs for the responses. Some good options to research. |
Oldtown is definitely the Southern prep feel---while Georgetown has more of a New England preppy feel. I am talking about the actual residents---not the guidos that drive the strip at night or fill the main strips on weekends ![]() |
Why not? Asking for the "preppiest place to live" is basically outing yourself as an uptight killjoy who's afraid of encountering people who aren't like you. Barf. It's gross. |
Agree. Takes one to know one. |
Hardly. I'm the minority in my neighborhood and no one would ever describe me as preppy. Whatever. If you all want to segregate yourselves into one area, I guess I should be glad. Just let me know where that is so I can avoid it. |

Chevy Chase MD has a good number of preps. Join the Chevy Chase Club. Lots of preps. Send your kids to the Cathedral school. Prep schools also have lots. Expensive neighborhoods in NW DC have preps sprinkled throughout. Actually I think upper NW and most of the close in clubs have a good number.
Just curious, not meaning to be snarky, why do you want to know what the preppiest place to live is? |
Pitch a tent outside the FroYo. |
Pimmit Hills

20816. It's MAD preppy. |
Georgetown |
Here, I'll spell it out. You're asking in code where to live in order to avoid brown and black people. |
Yes, pretty much this. At least, that's how it comes across. |
