As a rank official dealing with security issues he should know better.If he was stupid enough to have this happened I wonder if he would have even advise his wife to seek the help of the FBI, he didn't suspect of the biographer, they could have traced the mails thinking it was a totally different person. |

| The third party in this latest story can't be Petraeus' wife. The article I read indicated that the other person was not a USG employee. As the PP says, Holly Petraeus works for the consumer protection agency. So it's someone else....wonder how long it will take for that name to leak? |

| I believe that a person in his position wants to be "caught". They are in a situation that they don't want to end, but at the same time they know it is destructive and they don't know how to end it. It really doesn't run that deep. He is a middle aged man who is loosing his mo Jo and needs to prove something. At the end of the day, this same person has no balls ! If you want to read into it, do a study on middle aged men. |

| Everything I have read thus far had indicated that broadwell cut it off when he became CIA director in sept. 2011. I wonder what has happened in the last year, sounds like the FBI had been involved for 6 months so it makes for some juicy theorizing until more details come out. Can't wait to hear who the third woman is, and when some of the emails will be leaked.... |

I heard on twitter (I know I know) that infidelity rumors had plagued him for years. Maybe PP who wrote once a dog always a dog was right.
