The title of the thread translates roughly to "the ability of a man to remain faithful depends on how many options he has". If he ONLY has your devoted loving eyes as a DW looking at him, then ofcourse, he will be less likely to stray. But if he's a clone of Brad Pitt and he has women noticing him left and right, it means he has other options besides DW and will be more likely to cheat.

I think it also comes down to personalities. My husband is an introvert and not all that sexually adventurous - never had a one night stand even as a good-looking single man. So of the two of us, I honestly think I'd be the one more likely to stray in the given scenario.

Definitely not a serial killer. Guilt? ah... maybe a bit. But I'm good at forgiving myself too so that's not an issue for me. Still don't see how I am a victim though. I'm not hurting anyone because no one knows!!!!

There are cheater and non- cheater.

Non-cheater don't cheat no matter the circumstance.

Cheaters will cheat (no matter how wonderful their spouse) but they need opportunity and timing.

They may be at a conference - timing - but no opportunity.
They may be at a conference and get hit on - opportunity - but their spouse came with them - bad timing.

So yuo need to be a cheater (which is internal to each person), have good timing and an opportunity.

I actuallly believe, based on personal experience, that the "chick" doesn't even have to be all that hot. Men just can't help themselves. They are programmed in their DNA to stray. If they can stray, they will.
