Ann Romney's earrings look like gold $ dollar signs

Well her father most likely chose a "legal" route into the USA.

Rich people acting like poor people. Poor people acting like rich people.

Could it be that she might be "rich" but she enjoys the simple things in life? EGADS!! What a shocker. You people and your labels. My eyes are going to roll out of their sockets.

Please spare me the rich bs, they are all rich.

Michelle Obama wears $2400 outfit, asks rich people to share their wealth

Her dad was a child and came over with his grandfather, a miner with black lung AND another mining injury. Quite a catch I can see how he got in. And by that I mean he was WELSH. if he was Mexican he would have been stopped at the border, bounced. Then he would enter illegally to become a drain on our health care system while the son would father Ann. The republicans would then be calling Ann an anchor baby.

Not snarking, just genuinely curious: what about her do you respect? Seriously, I'm genuinely curious. She does seem likeable.

Seriously. Mitt Romney is teased amongst his sons for being "frugal". They're not glitzy people. He's a self-made man and he worked hard for it - took a huge risk - why the hate? Isn't what he did what American is all about? Agree or disagree with the politics - I'm still undecided.... but why does the fact that he's been successful in life seem to be a point of contention??? Aren't those type of stories what we want to hear MORE of and should be encouraging?

It's hard to listen to kind people speak when you are not used to it.

I listen to kind people all the time and am kind myself! I'm not saying she wasn't kind, I'm saying her speech was awful. --- It's my opinion, I'm entitled to that aren't I?

She isn't a politician. The fact that she didn't spend millions on learning to speak like Obama should tell you that she is a real person. She was speaking from the heart. I wonder why people expect so much out of the wife of the candidate. Who cares if she isn't polished. She was pretty brave to get up and speak in front of so many people. Truth is you would hate her speech even if she sounded like Oprah. Because you don't agree with her husbands politics.

I'm here to talk to you about love and our hearts of heart or some shit like that! I'm not saying she's not real, I'm saying her speech sucked! I'm also not saying that I don't agree with her husband's politics. I'm a registered Republican, I for the most part support Republicans. Didn't like her speech she didn't wow me or make me like her husband and more..... that's all.

She just seems real to me. She hasn't had an easy road- miscarriages, breast cancer, ms - those things give one perspective. Raising five boys while being married to a man who works all the time in very high-profile positions is no easy task, and it seems she's kept her family incredibly close/grounded while dealing with the throws of life.

On what planet is Mitt Romney a "self-made man"? What he did was decimate a bunch of companies and pocket the proceeds. His success was born by hundreds of workers who lost their jobs, their pensions and their health care.

He is the problem. And Ann wouldn't give any of you the time of day, don't kid yourself.

She actually said she was there to talk about love - love for a man she met ___ years ago at a high-school dance.

Serious question. How can uoube undecided between two candidates who represent polar opposites?

But as far as Romney being rich, it's insulated him from what most Americans experience every day. He may have lived in a basement apartment, but there was no way in hell his dad would have ever let him get put out on the streets if he failed. Most of America doesn't have that safety net. He may have built a business, but it's MUCH easier to do so when you come from wealth. And, speaking as a person who grew up poor and was poor throughout my 20s,but who is now considered part of the top 5% in income, I know that "I" have lost touch to a significant degree with how lower income people struggle EVERY DAY. I can't imagine Romney ever knew.

Such anger. Anyway - I'm sure you feel that Michelle and Barack *would* surely give us the time of day. Right? Please.

I'm undecided because I am extremely unhappy with Obama right now- completely disappointed. He's done nothing but separate this country further. I am also not a fan of Mitt Romney. I have to decide who I think will be the lesser of two evils.

Well you sound like a dick. She wasn't there to "wow" you. She was just there to tell you a little about herself. You expect too much. That is what happens when you spend most of your time watching the Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars. Simple things don't matter anymore to you. You just want to see someone "sell themselves" and that is exactly why our country is in trouble.

Oh yes, John Kerry and Al Gore were much better representatives of the poors.
