What do you think of this Mia Love person? Token?

Its funny to see the true colors of AAs is that they are in fact the most racist.

My husband donated to her campaign a year ago. She's well known in Conservative circles.

So she's the wrong kind of black?

Seriously!

I don't think anyone is saying that. Merely that she cannot and will not appeal to many African-American voters because her experience is not one they uniformly share. Despite the advances of the black middle class, there are still too many blacks living in systemic poverty. I'm not here to reopen the debate on reasons why, merely providing a political analysis. Her experience is more in line with middle-class white Americans, and that is who they wanted her to speak to, to demonstrate (unconvicingly) that they are an "inclusive" party because they can trot out a few minorities. They'd convince me more if they could bring out scores of Catholic Hispanics, whose religious views make them more naturally sympathetic to Republican ideas about social issues, but there's no evidence that Hispanics are going for the party in droves because their line on immigration is so draconian. Today's Republicans make GWB look like a genius and a prophet where that issue is concerned.

what exactly are you talking about?

people like you throw around socialist and racist like its candy with very little ability to put it into proper context and perspective.

what racism do you encounter on the part of black people in your everyday life? enlighten me on this.

i was actually going to follow up on my earlier comment and say that some people are minimizing love way too much because she is known in republican circles. she has a chance to be a "star" in the party if she wins her race and sure her being black and republican doesnt hurt that cause. and again, i say all this as a dem.

then i see your absurd statement and wonder what provokes someone like you to throw out stupid accusations like you do. is it because you hear someone else say it? its the MO of folks like you to flip the whole racism thing back to us (i am black) as if we invented it, started it, and implemented the entire thing since the beginning of time.

id actually give you more credit if you chose to use the word ignorant and not in describing blacks but to people in general who want to think love is a token.

people like you are pathetic and i dont even know why i bother "helping" your cause in an objective way when you have to say something as stupid as this.

she also appeals mainly to immigrants or rather people who are children of immigrants. speaking of hard work and not relying on government plays into the conservative mindset so it doesnt hurt that she speaks from that angle as well.

Obama's experience is the same as love's, why isn't anyone quick to blast him as the wrong kind of black.

I don't know that she's expected to sway AA's specifically, I think the aim is more towards women.

I agree, but I was specifically addressing the "wrong kind of black" charge.

Well, and now that he's not the mouthpiece for the RNC anymore, his positions - especially on social issues - have moderated back down to normal. Funny, huh? Guess that's why the RNC went and got themselves a good ol' boy white d-bag for a spokesman again.

Why is she "scummy?" If you are going to make a charge you should at least support it with some points or evidence.
