I wonder if she ran into/met the delegates who threw nuts at the black CNN camera operator while saying "this is how we feed the animals" ...
just so MS. Love can know what kind of a crowd she's hanging with. a real fine bunch of haters & thinly disguised bigots among them .... |
How come only white people were offended by this. I thought hell, he is speaking in VA. I'm black. I have yet to speak to another black person (cause you know we have a club and talk about these issues) and not one person considered his comments racist. Plus, they were taken out of context. |
Let's get real. She's a black Mormon. That religion is not known for its enlightened racial views, to put it mildly. I'm black and not at all religious, but seriously??? The GOP has a problem in that most Republicans are elderly and white. So they're trying their best to put on a diverse face by bringing out Mia Love and Artur Davis, not to attract black votes, but to make their base feel like they're not racist because look, we have black people speaking at our convention!! Fail. |
We're she born in the USA why would she support ever support a racially biased political party. Illustrations of GOP PREJUDICE are far too numerous to point out so I'll just throw out extremes, voter ID laws in PA , the change voter hours in Ohio as stated by state officials the intent, to deny AA's the opportunity to vote. Now add in the the delegates throwing nuts at a AA CNN cameraman with racial epithets as reported by Wolf Blitzer. Why any AA would associate themselves with a group that dispises there very presence defies a rational response
|
Liberals of any color are the most racist. VERY apparent lately. |
Most recent poll of likely AA voters. Romney zero percent the margin of error
Herman Caine and Maria Love |
Thanks, 16:57. I saw nothing racist about it, but I'm a white liberal , so 22:00 can tell you that I can't be trusted on this sort of thing. Of course, I also happen to live in a majority black neighborhood of DC and have, like you, not heard any of them complain about it.
But as 22:00 demonstrates, the definition of "racist" has changed. At least for some. It apparently now means mentioning that some white folks appear to support policies, such as voter ID, have a racial effect, not the policies htemselves. Just as noticing that GOP policies are heavily slanted to help the wealthy is "class warfare", not the policies themselves. If they look back at history, they probably feel that Churchill's reaction to Hitler was the cause of WWII. |
2342 I asked earlier in this thread for the PP who said AAs are the most racist to provide me with an example where he/she has experienced racism and still have no response.
You are right. being racist these days means you bring up race or an act of racism by another person. So essentially on the most basic and elementary level, as a black man, someone can call me the N-word and by the mere fact of me bringing up the fact that being called out my name was both racist and insensitive, I am the racist one. Thats how it works. |
+1 signed a white ex-Mormon. |
To me its crazy , Utah is not a place of " opportunity " but a place of oppression and discrimination is prevalent , not just discrimination of color but religion also , people have been fired for not being Mormon , there are no rights because it is a state owned and operated by the Mormon church and you can never prove the discrimination , you can never win . People are denied so called Constitutional rights all the time . Rights are only on paper but unless you have tons of money you will not get them enforced or have any recourse to right the wrongs . In Utah a College girl was raped by a few guys but because she had a couple beers they did not consider it rape cause of course if you " drink beer " you are asking for trouble in Utah , blame the victim mentality is prevalent. Recall the story where that Utah Welfare worker released names of " illegal immigrants " ? This kind of treatment is common , the racism is not just toward immigrants or people of color and its hard to explain . There are a few good people of course . But in Utah you could be fired for not being a Mormon from a federally funded job , blacklisted from the College covertly , and then never be able to " rise up by your own bootstraps " then when you are so far beaten down and you need help , they will kick you some more . In Utah a Mormon Priesthood holder got away with sodomizing his own daughter her whole life , when caught the Bishop did nothing , he never faced criminal charges . And if a Mormon missionary goes out to your child trying to " convert " them when your kid is out on the playground that is perfectly acceptable behavior there is nothing you can do about it , If a Mormon Missionary comes to your door and even when you tell them you have your own religion they stand there and tell you that you will not be saved unless you join the Mormon church because theirs is the only true religion . Black and Mormon is like Jew being a Nazi , the Mormons did not allow any Black People in , then the church was sued by a Black man (late 70's )and all the sudden the " Prophet of the Mormon church has a " revelation from God " saying Blacks can now hold the Priesthood . It is so corrupt . I don't hate Mormons and know that there are good and bad in all sectors of life but to me it is frightening . If you have ever been a person who has experienced these things and had your goals , dreams , aspirations destroyed by this kind of religious discrimination , you would understand . I think they are using this girl big time , and she is bright and beautiful but they are just using her as a " token " to say " see we are not so bad " , its a ploy . |
Who was that liberal girl who became the poster child for PP or abortions or something a few months back? Yeah, I can't remember her name either, but the Dems jumped on that bandwagon awfully quick. Mia Love is head and shoulders above that PP poster girl. |
I suspect you full well remember the name Sandra Fluke. But the bandwagon was started, in case you don't recall, by Darrell Issa's refusal to let her testify and Rush Limbaugh's vitriolic attack on her. The GOP made her a "poster child". I suppose your logic is that it's okay for the GOP to dump on one woman as long as they can come up with another woman who is "head and shoulders above" her. |
Are you kidding me? I heard Mia Love interviewed and she sounded like an idiot! I am not saying this b/c I don't believe in her politics, but she could not even answer the questions. She just used her talking points and they did not make sense. It was weird. |
