Do you call it "Reagan" or "National"?

Reagan and BWI. I've lived here for 9 years. Democrat (African American). Those were the names when I move here so why would I change. I don't think it depends on political affiliation at all. It's like names for highways.

Lived here all of my 45 years.

Democrat, but that's not why I call it National. I'm just stuck in my ways.

BWI. Same reason.

42. Independent. Ditto. It's what we called these airports growing up.

I also say DCA and BWI.

Pretty conservative (not Santorum-conservative but...)

I also refer to Dulles as IAD, usually.

National
30 years
Democrat

Because I never liked Reagan and do not believe he deserves to have anything named after him. He sent this country into the selfish, greedy, polarizing direction that it has yet recover from.

^^BWI because Thurgood Marshall is a mouthful.

DCA, BWI, Dulles
24 years
Democrat

But I tried to remember to call it BWI-Thurgood Marshall.

National / Reagan (half times one, and half the other)
BWI
15 yrs
Dem

I find it ridiculous and stupid that partisan Rs have run around naming so many public spaces after Reagan. But if that's what the name is, I guess I'll end up using it eventually.

Whoops, sorry.

I call them National and BWI. Democrat who's lived here about 15 years.

A friend who was visiting asked car service driver (gypsy cab? not sure what they're called here --- anyway, no meter) what it would cost to go to "Reagan." He took her, but in both senses. I told her I thought calling it "Reagan" rather than "National" made it clear she wasn't from here and probably made her an easy mark. Everyone I know says "National," but most of the people I know are Democrats who have lived here a long time, so I wasn't sure if there would be another answer if those variables were different.

If someone said they were flying into Thurgood Marshall, I say "wait...where?"
