Is this a joke?
A percentile score of 4 means that he did worse than 96% of the kids who took the test.

Yes I think it's a troll. I remember answering a similar post in another similar thread with your exact answer.
Troll, make fun of pushy immigrant parents all you want. Your kids will probably be working for their kids someday...

My son is in 6th grade and has completed the Advanced Academics program for 6th grade math and is now going through Algebra with doing independent study with a math teacher at the school. He already passed IOWA with a 99% score. He is very self-motivated and determined to finish Algebra this year. The FFX county school system is telling me that there is no way that he can take Geometry in 7th grade next year; that they will not permit him to take the Algebra SOL to demonstrate that he has mastered the material. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to encourage the school to let him take geometry if he has mastered algebra or am I simply going to have to give up the school system and pay for him to do geometry/algebra 2 studies outside of school? thanks.

there are a few AAP 6th graders at our school who have taken algebra at the closest MS all year. I have heard they will take geometry next year, but they already took the MS class in algebra. is that what you are talking about?

Contact the AAP central office staff and they should be able to put you in touch with the right people to help get your son placed appropriately.

I think the student will be signing up for 8th grade classes soon as this was posted last year.
