The reality is that you can't control how people will view or use your gifts. You have to let go of that.

Personally, I would bake the cookies, but if you don't want to give prisoners friggin' cookies, don't. Just make a decision, don't agonize so.

You also have to let go of being able to control how people see you once you make the decision either way.

The prison ministry is trying to rehab these folks and show them to value of having faith. Showing the prisoners that there is kindness in the world towards them (baking them cookies) could only help this effort. Redemption in just one prisoner could touch many lives.
