Just wanted to point out that certain posters refer to women as "bimbos" all the time on the political forum - that is, if the women happen to be conservative. So that tells you the type of person who is calling women bimbos.

I don’t agree with Meren on pretty much anything and I won’t vote for her but there is no good reason to call her a bimbo. I would love to say that people should be focused on being civil in politics but I don’t think that has ever been a thing across history. Name calling has existed throughout time. But if you are going to send a text insulting a person, don’t be surprised that it is posted to online.

Oakton is terrible in the AM/PM. You have HUNDREDS of walkers, metro traffic, teenage drivers, kids parking on both sides of the street there while walking all over the place, and busses all at one four way stop. I am glad that I will no longer be going to that area next year. That being said they use plenty of admin to direct the kiss and ride area so maybe they'll just send the poor security guy out into the street!

He issued an "apology" last night on his Facebook page:

"I used an inappropriate term while referring to School Board Member Meren that was disrespectful and wrong, and I apologize for it.
Substantive disagreements are fair to discuss, but I should have expressed those views professionally. That language does not reflect the standard I expect of myself or the level of respect owed to my colleagues and the public we serve."
