Milk family. No osteoporosis

Can’t beat that! I forget about it and then have it with a brownie and it’s literally the best.

Yeah, no thanks. Kids prefer not to, dairy makes them break out and feel sick. They aren’t cows.

Are you a young kid by chance?

I’m 53. Milk protein allergies are real. Lactose free not a solve here. Was able to process dairy til i had first child then immediately allergic to all dairy. It was wild. I only miss cheese and not reading labels.

There is a lot of confirmation bias here..

Humans have been drinking milk for 10,000 yrs.

I'm not a vegan and eat/drink dairy products (never milk), but the fact that we drink the breast milk of another species for "health" is really weird.

It's bizarre no matter how you spin it.

Yet, I still eat cheese and ice cream. But advocating for milk is still so, so strange.

As an adult I have always eaten cheese and yogurt but did not feel so well after drinking a glass of milk, so maybe somewhat lactose intolerant. Then, I discovered Fairlife milk. It is so good! Just a nice clean milk flavor, ultra filtered to remove the lactose. So now I can have a little glass of milk with my cookies, or a bowl of cereal.

I have always given my kids whole milk, while my brother’s family bought into the skim-milk-is-healthier dogma. Well now the kids are all teens, and mine are the trim athletic ones and his are overweight carb addicts literally on the verge of type 2 diabetes. Anecdata but there is evidence to support dairy fats not being that bad, first of all they are more satiatingu, secondly it provides helps prevent glucose spikes, thirdly the fats help deliver fat-soluble vitamins.

What does your age have to do with the suggestion that kids drink more milk? You aren’t a kid.

Why is it different than just eating the whole animal or parts? I think eating animal organs is strange too, but it’s not uncommon. People have always been resourceful when it comes to food.

Because the breast milk is literally meant for their young.

Animals eat the flesh of other animals. No other animal drinks the breast milk of another animal.

That's not proof.

That said, my mother drank milk as her only beverage pretty much and still got osteoporosis. So please exercise and lift those weights too!

I say milk is fine if you like it! NBD if you don't! I always like it better than water which was my only choice growing up.

Same here. Mom loves milk, drinks nothing else but water and tea most days, and still has osteoporosis.
