Williams vs Emory premed

Very different vibes, dc will hopefully have a clear preference when visiting

Both schools have a 1520/34 median test score. However Emory has more students submit test scores.

NP does anyone know firsthand if Williams kids are happy? Particularly non-athletes who are not going into IB?

For insight into the types of students who may not be happy at Williams, this extensive Record article took a look at three students who transferred out:

You need to visit in January and decide if it’s the right place. A lot different when super cold and you don’t have much daylight.

Believe me, late March was super cold and dreary. My kid went into the visit with a positive view but we couldn't get out of there quickly enough (literally, there is zero Uber service in the area and the one taxi company we booked got a flat tire.) But for the right kid, it is a fantastic school.

Yeild has nothing to do with parchment cross admits. Some schools dont yeild protect so arent artificially inflating their yeild numbers.

Thats the thing parchment doesnt recognize Emory-Oxford as different than Emory- Atlanta. So when you see actual the cross admit numbers for Emory just know it includes the less desirable Oxford campus. So Emory winning 67% is dramatic actually.

Parchment cross admit numbers are considered suspect, even the ones that have confidence intervals because of teh self reporting.
