How are you all drinking all of this water without constant bathroom trips?

I apparently have an iron bladder and can hold it for long periods of time. Some people can't.

The only legit answer here. OP, why are you drinking so much water?

It depends. If you are prone to kidney stones you need to drink quite a bit.

I'm prone to horrifically painful muscle spasms in my calfs in the middle of the night. Turns out staying hydrated at a minimum of 1.5 liters (when it's not hot) per day plus three bananas a week keeps them at bay.

Me too. Sometimes 15x a day.

If I know there are bathrooms easily available, I can go a long time. If I think a bathroom will be difficult to access or I'm at a play or something, I swear my brain makes me think I have to go every 30 min.

This.

Same! It’s bizarre!

Op here. The thing is I’m not but seeing everyone else drinking makes me think I should be drinking more. I usually feel like I pee too often as it is and I’m barely finishing one whole 16oz water bottle. I may sip on a sweet tea during the day or coffee depending but I want to drink more water just not spend the day in the bathroom.

I don't drink while on walks outside. I don't own a water bottle.

The water bottle culture has become really absurd. My kids take water bottles to school but that’s because it’s hard to make the time to get water between classes. The only other time we use them is at Disney world. The idea that you need to leave your house for every errand with a water bottle is crazy.

I think all these people that are constantly drinking large amounts of H2O are most definitely also peeing a ton as well.

You just are not privy to it since privacy is first + foremost when using the bathroom.

I definitely feel more anxious when it’s hard to get to a bathroom.

I'm surprised that a nurse would be doing this since it's super unhealthy.

I drink not even that much and go about every 30 minutes.

Adults look so damn dumb lugging around those things like they're a blankie. A glass of water before you leave the house in the morning, maybe one at lunch, and one when you get home is MORE than enough for daily intake. They think it makes them look healthy and virile, they actually just look like brainwashed sheep.

I run at least 5 miles a day and lift weights. I definitely need more than 3 glasses of water/daily, especially in the summer. I suppose 3 glasses works if you don’t move or sweat.
