How did CBK bag JFK jr?

How do we know she cheated?

Is this playbook even a secret anymore?

Be beautiful, sleek, like a purebred, appear as normal as possible, be effortlessly fashionable, keep yourself up and make yourself permanent eye candy

Melania, really. Except she produced a lurch of a son, but whatever.

Men want different things for different roles.

Wives have always been show ponies.

Other horses are meant for riding. This is old news.

The corollary of this caution is: be careful whom you bag.

Your male conquests may lead you to a very early hell.

This is also very old, ancient news. Cleopatra and a few of Henry 8's wives may like a word.

Her step dad was an orthopedic surgeon and she lived in Greenwich. Not exactly middle class.

Kate and CBK weren’t really alike. Kate pursued William pretty steadfastly. CBK played it a lot cooler whether it was authentic or strategic.

Also think JFK jr. was older and more ready to commit than William was. Different dynamics… but I was a kid when JFK jr passed away, so this is just my impression based on what I’ve read after the fact.

Me again, thinking more about it, my analysis is that JFK jr was much more in love or besotted with Carolyn than William has ever been with Kate. With William you get the sense that he is bored or always feels he could have found a better match in some way. And I don’t sadly jfk jr and CBK passed away before their marriage was telling in any very long term kind of way.

But long story short I think jfk jr loved CBK more than she loved him and I think Kate loves/needs William more than he thinks he loves or needs her. William is more complicated because he has to stay married for image sake. And I’m sure he resents that and kind of projects it onto Kate. But what do I know - hopefully they’re happy.

I disagree.

I think William was attracted to Kate, her loving family, and the fact that she demonstrated she was in it for the long haul. I suspect he desperately wanted a wife who would provide a loving home for him and his children as well as someone strong enough to add value rather than require hand-holding. They seem to be a very good match. I really don’t understand all the dcum speculation about him not loving her. They seem really committed.

JFK Jr seemed to be really immature, self-centered, and needy. While he was obviously spoiled and easily bored by women who threw themselves at him, he seemed to be interested in the chase CBK laid out for him by simply following The Rules that were popular in the 90s. Plus, the timing worked in her favor: he was reeling from the death of his bossy pants mother and he probably latched onto CBK more quickly than he might have under different circumstances.

I think JFK Jr was attracted to her personality/behavior—perhaps the challenge and Chase she presented. While she wasn’t ugly, she really wasn’t gorgeous. He was way hotter than she was. Look at her nose and odd facial features. They were known to have passionate fights in public, and he probably got off on that.

Anyway, there’s no way the JFK Jr marriage would have lasted. She probably would have been the one to leave. He probably wanted a wife who would give him kids and enjoy being a mother, and she didn’t seem mature enough for that. She seemed self-centered just like him.

JFK jr and CBK might not have lasted had they lived, but he seemed passionate about her. William took ten years to marry Kate. They’ve also been plagued by a lot of rumors related to infidelity, living separately etc. he was photographed with other women in the Swiss alps while kate was pregnant with Louis.

He married up, and killed her and her brilliant sister because of his ego and deep, deep stupidity.

Kate was NOT middle class. She also went to boarding schools which require money.

“Catherine has two younger siblings, Philippa ("Pippa") and James.[12][13] Her paternal family benefited financially from trust funds and were upper-middle-class with ties to the landed gentry;[14][15] her great-grandparents Noël and Olive Middleton played host to members of the British royal family in the 1920s through to the 1940s.[16][17][18] Her maternal family are descended from coal miners and have been described as working-class.[19][20]”

Looks like the social climbing started with Mama Middleton.

You do wish, I see. Year 14 of divorce watch. Like all these chunks wondering what he sees in her. Jesus.

Other women detest the CBKs and Kate Middletons. Don’t be a loser, at least not as openly.

I can’t even imagine their poor mother getting the news of both her daughters gone so needlessly.

Melania was a hooker without the right work visas, draining married middle-aged premature ejaculators for twenties on a nightstand as her form of “modeling.” You’d sooner die than have your daughter be her or your son be one of her special buddies.

Bessette Kennedy also had her own successful career, not just a full-time job of waiting for her man.

I think it’s reasonable that he didn’t rush into marriage given the catastrophe of a marriage his parents had.

And unless the photos of him with other women were objectively romantic, I think it’s reasonable that he might have been off skiing with a group of friends while she relaxed at home.

While some boys of cheating fathers follow in their footsteps, some go in the other direction given their firsthand experience of coming from a broken home. I bet William and Harry are both extra-committed to making it work with their wives…if only for the sake of their kids.

William’s dad won’t live forever. His in-laws are essentially the surrogate family and loving grandparents for his kids. I doubt he wants to blow that up.
