CBK had a successful career when she met JFK Jr. He may have appreciated that she wasn't just waiting around for a rich man to marry.

Really, the only similarity to Kate is that they came from middle class families and married very, very well.

I'm not sure how "normal" she was. When she met JFK, she was the top PR person for the Manhattan Calvin Klein store. She interfaced with their highest profile clients. She obviously had the right look and demeanor for that position. I'm not really surprised that someone in that position would marry a celeb herself. She was also apparently very "downtown" and hip, which JFK liked.

She was very beautiful (obviously) but I think she bagged him by being a b1tch and not giving AF attitude. It’s been well documented over the years that she cheated on him, used a lot of drugs, and was generally a PITA.

Men like who him who grow up with everyone fawning over them cant get enough of confident women who give the vibe that the golden boy is the lucky one to have snagged her, not the other way around.

No one wants to marry someone who is exactly like themselves. They want to marry someone who makes them feel like the best version of themselves. JFK Jr was comfortable in the limelight and didn’t want to compete for it but also wanted to have as many of the trappings of a “normal” life as possible. CBK could give him that while being comfortable around wealth and VIPs from growing up in Greenwich and working with celeb clients at Calvin Klein.

I think this is exactly it. She was very self-confident, and called him on his sh*t. He was very attached to his mother, and was dealing with a void in terms of a strong woman heading his life. The timing was perfect for Carolyn to step into that role. Plus, the heat.

I doubt the marriage would have lasted, since she didn't adjust the way everyone expected her to. They both were a little narcissistic and both cheated. Too much volatility for a lasting union.

By British and Royal standards she was middle class. Even Posh considered herself middle class but David Beckham called her out on hit. Both ladies were middle class, Kate more upper middle class.
