| For all the wine and olive oil she needs to take back to the states |
| I want a video of what she packed in her suitcase and what she's bringing back! I find her entertaining. |
| Because her “thing” is that her and Johnny were fabulous eccentric clothing on air. The real question is why do you care? |
Me too! |
+2. I love their commentary, and the outfits are part of their thing. |
The Traitors !! One of the best shows on tv right now. |
Please see yourself out of the entertainment forum. This is ridiculous. |
|
She also has her daughter with her so some of the suitcases are for her. And she’s said she’s there for nearly a month. She has said in posts that most of the luggage was for her on air outfits.
Martha Stewart brought nearly as much and she’s only there for a week at most. |
It was difficult but I think it boils down to: "You are not your frown lines".
|
| She was wearing a tight dress with little mirrors on it and looked hot. I'd hit that. |
Thank you! I actually assumed this thread would be about that ad because I watched a lot of Olympics on Peacock and this is one of like 5 ads they run on repeat on there (the others include Lipinski's TJ Maxx ad, the copy for which actually makes sense). I would LOVE to get a behind the scenes on how they wrote this ad because it reflects a deep discomfort either by Botox or by Lipinski with the whole concept of using Botox. Like every time I saw this ad, my first thought was "why doesn't she just say that she uses Botox?" If a friend and I were discussing Botox and she went on a spiel like Lipinski's in this ad, I'd say "Honey, it's okay, we all want to look our best." There is also an ad for the new Wegovy pill that debuted during the Super Bowl featuring Keenan Thompson and DJ Khaled that goes out of its way to say that they are paid actors and not necessarily using Wegovy or advocating based on their experience using it. I don't care if they use it or not! I think drawing attention to it makes you think "oh they are on Wegovy but don't want to admit it." It would be better to just say "I use this drug and here's my positive experience." Like in Serena's ad. It's much more effective because she's owning it and being straightforward. |
And would be heavily criticized by those who do notice and wonder where she found a dry cleaner for most oil and sweat stained clothes. |
She finally managed to outdress Johnny Weir that day. |
Plus figure skating and ice dancing outfits have always been sparkly and fun. The outfits are part of the showmanship. It makes total sense to me that she and Johnny would also dress up for their commentary. It totally works in this context. I love that Tara has found a way to also be involved in her Olympic sport well after her retirement. |
| I wanted to be annoyed at the suitcases too but they are all kind of small to medium sized and some of them were for her kid. She is at the olympics for a few weeks and the outfits are part of her product. If she wore the same thing twice, I am sure that would be some sort of news too! |
