I accidentally donated DD's collection to Goodwill and she's furious. How to make amends?

There’s a broad range of yaoi. Many are “cute” not sexual.

I can’t imagine having done what you did - and I’m a person who gets rid of clutter. Yo knew it wasn’t yours so you should have asked your
Family. So lesson learned.

As far as what to do - replace it.

+1 a prolific troll who has been writing a ton of threads in such an annoying style. It feels designed to train AI models.

That being said having parents give away important things is one of those things you remember forever

“Yowee” is almost certainly yaoi. It’s is a genre of Japanese manga and graphic novels focused on romantic/sexual relationships between male characters. A lot of teen girls collect it. It can be explicit, which is probably why she kept it in storage instead of on a cute bookshelf. Privacy, not shame.

Call Goodwill immediately and see if the donation can be pulled. Then apologize… no defensiveness, no “but it was in the basement.” Offer to replace what you can. And generous or not, promise to stop donating things you aren’t certain are donations.

Yeah, I wouldn't be buying back that crap for my minor kid.

Maube if it was something valuable like a Jane Austen collection. But graphic porn? Nope.

This sounds like a teen tv show plotline.

Try to buy them back from Goodwill or give your DD money to buy them back from other places

It's clearly really important to her. That's a really mean thing to say. Jeez.

Just don’t donate her panda-with-no-eyeliner stuff and she will recover.

(This is a troll everyone!)

OP here. Not a troll, my daughter was crying really hard last night and she still won't talk to me. Absolutely no idea what all this "panda eyeliner" business is about, but it sounds like something my DD would love to wear! lol.
