+1 It’s a public street and they are doing something normal and legal. MYOB |
I was thinking, maybe mom or dad work in one of the homes in the neighborhood and they're meeting at the end of their shift. |
If they say this is a “public street”, What is your answer? |
You think they might have a gun so your idea is to go confront them about something? |
I’ve thought about how I might handle custody exchanges if my situation escalates. A lot of people suggest a place with cameras like a gas station or police station. But maybe one of the parents is so high conflict they said no to that because they wanted to avoid cameras. So the other parents suggested a place that was also exactly halfway…but also happens to be within view of a cousin, former nanny, or family friend’s house (and the other parent doesn’t realize it) that has a ring cam or other camera that can monitor exchanges just in case. |
| Perhaps the parents want to be discreet when doing the child exchange for whatever reason…. |
| They don’t want to be seen by anyone they know. |
|
| My takeaway is why don’t they have their own gear? Like why all this stuff changing instead is pulling the kid out of car 1 and popping them into car 2 and done. |
| I wouldn't like because of the risk of a domestic dispute. I would park my car there or be out front to discourage always parking in front of my house. |
+1 Weird that each car doesn’t have a car seat (unless it’s a bucket seat and the child is a baby.) Also OP mind your business. You have no standing here. It’s a public street. |
| If you’re so curious, ask them… |

No need to be rude to OP. She’s just asking a question. I’d be curious too in her shoes. OP, it will be crazy if this goes on for years and you watch the child grow up! |
This or stand outside next time and watch. |
