| Listen to music, slowly start dancing. You can do this when you clean too. |

Watch and listen to things that make you REALLY laugh. Like, your abs hurt.
Listen to your favorite happy music. Stay away from the news for a bit. Reread your favorite book. Start a new book that’s not “heavy.” When you get mad, feel free to yell curses. If you can have a drink once in a while, do that. Watch cute puppy and kitty videos. Get enough sleep and don’t eat too much junk. |

This might not be applicable to your situation, but lately I have found reframing my thoughts around a challenge to be helpful.
I had a dead battery on a morning where I was solo parenting and had to be at an event. I was able to solve my battery issue and get kid to school with money - AAA and Uber. It was stressful, but after reflecting I decided I was grateful to have the resources to solve my problems instead of being mad about the problem itself. |
| I'm in the exact same boat as you (mad and medically unable to work out for now.) This sounds silly, but putting on some fun music and working on jigsaw puzzles with my phone off has been helpful. It keeps my brain just occupied enough to not ruminate on things without being taxing. |
| Healthy breakfast every morning, b vitamins, good sleep, sunlight after waking, and they say if you’re mad at someone imagine they’re in a chair next to you and say what you want to say or write them a letter |

You should have heard the monks today.
No joke. They talked about the futility of reacting to external stressors/toxic People . They strongly recommend mindfulness as the path to peace. |
| Eat super healthy-wide variety of plants no or few processed foods. Your gut microbiome impacts serotonin. You should start to notice changes in a week if you don’t have any processed food. |
The person has an injury and cannot go for walks |
Meditation is remarkable. It makes no sense how much it helps. But it really, really does — even when you are certain you aren’t actually meditating. |
| When I feel angry or sad I immerse myself fully into something that has absolutely nothing to do with my life like a deep dive on the Donner party, a biography of a 1900s heiress in England. If it's an audiobook I clean the house or go for a walk. If it's an actual book I enjoy it in bed with a really nice cup of tea and my cats and dog. |
WTF to the first one?! |
| Have a few cocktails or glasses of wine while watching one of your favorite movies. |
|
Watch something funny.
Pray. Call an old friend or family member. |
|
Think of something funny, watch something funny!
Think about the things you are grateful for in your life. Listen to the music of your choice. Walk in the nature. |
