Well....some schools have said no to a president's kid |
Agreed. Bard is not hard to get into …..sheesh. |
This seems improbable. I'd believe this more if Bechet needed help getting into Yale, rather than Bard. Maybe as Bard's president said, Epstein took credit for this even when he didn't do much. I doubt they needed Epstein's help to get her into Bard, an arts college that would have been delighted to have Woody Allen's child attend under normal circumstances. Soon-Yi herself is a Columbia alum and Allen of course is an Oscar winner. |
+1 I like the quote "Jeffrey likes to take credit for the sun setting" ... Soon-Yi Previn sounds like she was being naive by believing it was thanks to Epstein. They literally only needed to drop Allen's name and she'd get a spot in Bard. |
| Which daughter, his wife? |
You have no idea what the kid’s stats were. |
It just shows that even the rich & famous fall into the trap of getting needlessly stressed about college admissions. |
They are unproven allegations though. In fact, Allen was cleared of wrongdoing the one time it was investigated by psychologists at Yale/New Haven. Other children adopted by Farrow have said they were coached by Farrow to make up stories about Allen. But we'll never know the actual truth. He was cleared officially by authorities. |

From the article:
David Wade, a spokesman for Dr. Botstein said that Mr. Epstein was “a serial liar who apparently took credit for the sun rising each day.” “The applicant referenced in the emails was accepted on the merits of her own qualifications for admission,” the statement said. “Bard had already provided a welcome community for two previous family members, and no introduction was needed from the likes of Epstein.” He added, “The only difference here is Epstein’s apparent effort to convince a family that his voice was of consequence.” Bard College admits about 40 percent of its applicants. |
Bard isn't that hard to get into so if you need to pull strings... |
He raised a child and then married her. |
I agree with this. I think there were probably some red flags in her file, which is why they had to go to such lengths. Previn continued. “I think it’s best that Bechet struggles and doesn’t know ahead of time that she got in, so that when she gets into Bard, she will have sweated it out a bit and will really want to go.” She added, “Thank you for coming through for us. I can’t tell you how much this means to me. Woody said when Bechet sets fire to the school, they’ll have you to thank.” |
| These people all tried to get favors. The Paul Weiss Chair (Brad Karp) asked Epstein to get his son an internship with Woody Allen. |
Just marrying Soon-Yi makes him a predator regardless of whether he did the same to any of the other kids. |
Oh bullshit! Nice try. |
