Epstein helps Woody Allen's daughter get into college

Of course, I assume all celebs/wealthy people are calling in favors for their kids' college applications (if I was a person of influence, I would!). The biggest surprise is the college...Bard?!

This makes woody Allen and his wife look like idiots, but there’s no chance a call from Jeffrey Epstein took this kid from rejected to admitted. Bard isn’t that selective. They were going to admit this kid.

How do we think Bechet is pronounced?

Also, being the kid of one of these absolute trash people must be so humiliating. Never been more grateful to be the child of two nobodies than in 2026. And my own child also has absolute nobodies for parents. It's glorious!

No kidding. Why wouldn’t an arts-cantered school like Bard take Woody Allen’s kid? Give me a break. Epstein might have even hurt, because Bostein thought he was an asswipe for never giving any real money and wasting his time.

This^. They wouldn't say no to a rich celebrity's kid. However, Woody Allen wouldn't know whom to contact at the school but Epstein like fixer can find out whom to approach to make it happen.

I think parents in these situations almost feel better "calling in a favor" even though it is not at all needed. There's so much about their life that has been bad they want to feel like there was a reason for all of it-- the power to make a call like this makes them feel better about their lives.

agree, but! Epstein and the president of Bard have a long association via fundraising (I'm not sure the Bard guy is to blame on this one - and he's been upfront about it). but surely, Bard needs the cash and this may have been a "don't miss that this kid with the last name Allen is Woody's daughter"

I get the feeling Bechet has some disciplinary notes in her file that may have been worrisome. which is why the mom said something to Epstein like, they won't blame you when she burns the school down

Who needs a favor called in to get into Bard?

This! That's the hilarious thing about it--Bard is pretty non-competitive.
