Have you been out since Saturday?

I took 1.5 to 2 mile walks almost every day this week, have been to (walking distance) stores, took kids to school today and went to the office. Haven't driven. The roads in my neighborhood are still a bit of a mess, and even downtown seemed worse than I thought it would be today.

Its like 2020 all over again here.

Out driving since Tuesday. Slower than usual getting out of the neighborhood but completely dry on the main roads.

I spent days digging out. Then went out to check on elderly relative and had to walk 1 m uphill to get to them. Not going out again until next week when it’s in double digits.

DH walked to various grocery stores. We have not yet used our car, since schools and activities are canceled and we can work from home.

Similar with dog needing daily walks.

Walked 1 mile to downtown Kensington grocery, hardware and wine store.

I have been out every day since the storm and even on the day, but I live in a major city.

Nope. My car is in the garage but the driveway and neighborhood is still solid ice.

The only day I stay home was Sunday - during the storm

By Monday at 4:45 I was in my car and headed to the gym. That mean clearing a long driveway and digging out my car multiple times.

Monday I did work from home.

Tuesday morning I went to work as usual.

Maybe for you hermits. The rest of us are living life. I've even been out to dinner.

I went to the grocery store yesterday, which was the first time I'd been out. Our street was cleared by late Monday afternoon (would have been cleared on Sunday, but the plow truck died, about 100 yards before the end of our cul de sac, which is where my house is, and sat there for about 24 hours), as were the bigger roads around here, but that doesn't mean there is no ice or that you should be on the roads. My job was canceled all week, even today, so I've been home. I did go to Costco at Potomac Mills today after getting very frustrated trying to work from home with a printer on it's last legs, then because I was there I went over to Ikea to eat meatballs. That's it.

DH has been going to work in DC since Weds; he texted me when he got there on Weds that the roads were a "huge mess," which is likely why my job is still not open.

It's not cold at all. Maybe you don't have the right gear.

I've been to work Wednesday, Thursday, today. Doctor appt, Target, etc. My DH has been to several doctors appts (he's a teacher so school is closed).

Our driveway and sidewalks are clear (we hired someone) and both cars are clear.
