This is important. MO for those in charge for past few decades (at every level and regardless of political affiliation) has been to claim they're "investigating" and then wait for the inevitable short attention span of public to move on to something else. Thus, no one ever gets held accountable for anything.

While this doesn't rise to "Pentagon Papers" level of importance, it's critical to start holding public officials accountable for their decisions and actions and not let them hide behind paperwork, "privacy" concerns and miniscule public attention spans. Only thing that will get this report released is good old public pressure - keep up the good work!

If only our most major local newspaper (the Washington Post, which may have national aspirations but is also local) ever actually published anything negative about FCPS...

I'm not saying they should only publish the negative, but they literally refuse to engage in any sort of accountability for local school systems over there in the education section of that paper.

The Metro section is almost non-existent. Even the obituaries are pretty much limited to nationally known people.
They did have a piece today about the anti-Muslim graffiti in Montgomery County.

and when you're part of this, you can be promoted to Senior Administrator of Nontraditional School Programs, as the principal was. He is in charge of Homebound students, among others. It is a travesty.

Also part of the MO - deflecting, bringing up "whataboutisms".... Important to stay on point: FCPS was supposed to do internal investigation and release report to public. Where is it?

There is an article out crunching the numbers that FCPS has spent on lawyers and lawsuits in the few years that Dr. Reid has been superintendent.

The number is astronomical. Over 25 million since she was hired by FCPS.

15 million last year.

The law firms we are using are billing close to $2000.00 hour.

Most of these lawsuits are avoidable if they just governed as moderates or enforced district residency checks like in the Hayfield cheating scandal.

Imagine the teachers we could hire with that money.

Not the previous poster but fetish is such a weird choice of words here. It’s not wrong to want that report released.

I think we all know what’s inside. They covered it up, didn’t push back on any homeless “claims”, barely checked residency, then handled the timeline of things horribly impacting many many kids.

If OP is even telling a hint of truth about the county having this report and concealing it, he/she should immediately contact the Fairfax Times (Asra Nomani). Nobody hates Overton/the Hayfield saga than that reporter.
