Almost none of the girls going to these events need to do them at all. The vast majority of them are playing for clubs inside the top 10-20 and the exposure they get from being in the top brackets of tournaments is what is getting them recruited it has absolutely nothing to do with these money grab events....

Maybe, maybe not. We didn’t do the winter one but my kid is going this summer, we are not taking the risk of you being wrong. Yes, top teams do get great exposure, but your kid doesn’t always have the best days or the coach they really want to impress was elsewhere during their games. Why take the risk if you can afford it? Also, my kid loves it and got to meet kids from all over, not a money grab in my mind.

My kid loves the top competition. Speed of the game is different and she says it translates well when back with her club. More development in a couple of days than a dozen practices.

The track record is there. How many 2027 star (4-5) players were not at BIC? I’d guess all of them.

So if stars matter (they do) then BIC matters.

I’ve said this before, but women’s lax does not have a tiny fraction of resources to recruit that football does and look at how bad football is at evaluating talent.

Example, of the four players invited to Heisman, 2 of 4 were zero or 2 star recruits. Think about that for a second.

BIC is the ONLY one you should do. It’s very well attended and respected. Plus the girls actually are taught how to play (Something they rarely get on their club teams). Most if not all of the other events are designed to make your purse/wallet lighter.

If this is true then she must not play on a very good team. Not knocking the event, but two 90 minute clinics and a few scrimmages does not = true development

Sure evaluations can happen at many IL events, but you won’t get star recognition if not at BIC.

Like NFL combine, you can get drafted without invite to combine, but good luck with that.
