| Landscapers start work at 7am...that's the way it is, unfortunately |
Residential pickup before 6am is not allowed by the noise ordinance. |
| Sorry this is happening to you OP! Just out of curiosity are you BIPOC? |
| I don't think so. If it bothers you so much, have you considered moving to a property with more surrounding acreage for privacy? |
Get out of bed… |
YOUR privilege is showing. Not everyone has a 9-5 job. Some people work nights and don't get to sleep until 5am. For someone with a baby, it's not just 5 minutes. For a light sleeper, it's not just 5 minutes. Laws exist, we ALL need to respect them. I'd be pissed if they were picking up trash an hour before the law allows it. And for the OP, gas blowers are banned in many parts of the country now. You should see if yours is one of them. I wouldn't report to the govt but maybe ask the landscaper (look for a number on the truck) to keep it down. |
| I would follow noise ordinances in your area, OP. I had to remind my husband of them, because he's the type to do yard work as soon as he wakes up, or last thing before going to bed, the big silly. |
| Check whether gas blowers are banned in your area. |
| My neighbor's lawn company comes at like 7:30. I think that is normal. I don't love it, but I think it's normal -- so I wouldn't recommend you complain. |
|
You sleep in until 7:20 am ???
On a day that's not a Sunday ??? I live next to a golf course, they start their mowers barely before dawn. I don't mind it because I grew up in a major city, actually the "city streets" sleep noise helps me sleep. The sounds make me feel like I'm surrounded by people when actually pretty much the reality is that no one's around to hear me scream. |
| Call ICE. Are they us citizens? |
| Who has leaves this late in the year? |
There are plenty of foreigners here legally. I am one of them. I hope one day Karma gets you. |
|
If your county ordinance says 7am (like ours), then 7:01 is acceptable. If you don't like it, reach out to the County Board, not the neighbor or the landscaping company.
FWIW, my company has occasionally shown up early (6:30-6:45ish) and I have told them they can unload their equipment but have to sit in their truck until 7. |
| It's a rare thing, so no. They are trying to get the job done. Leave them alone. |
