Your privilege is showing. 
I would never complain about people who start working in the wee hours of the morning to ride precariously on the back of a smelly truck to haul away my garbage.  Losing 5 minutes of sleep once a week is totally worth it.

YOUR privilege is showing.  Not everyone has a 9-5 job.  Some people work nights and don't get to sleep until 5am.  For someone with a baby, it's not just 5 minutes.  For a light sleeper, it's not just 5 minutes.  Laws exist, we ALL need to respect them.  I'd be pissed if they were picking up trash an hour before the law allows it.

And for the OP, gas blowers are banned in many parts of the country now.  You should see if yours is one of them.  I wouldn't report to the govt but maybe ask the landscaper (look for a number on the truck) to keep it down.  [/quote]
