The kid’s parent is a well respected financial advisor and I’m wondering whether to trust them with a large family estate. Honesty matters to me.

That is some next level cyber stalking.

Please involve more people to investigate this and ignore the 100% of responders who think you're in the wrong. Good thinking.

In my experience, college rosters include everyone on the team. Even athletes who will never contribute in any way are on the roster.

My kid walked on one late and website wasn’t updated for awhile.

One of my kids was injured in the pre-season and continued on the team so she could have access to the trainers for her physical therapy but wasn’t on the active roster. I don’t think she put the team on her LinkedIn, but it is possible, I’d have to check.

Ask them.

Before accusing student from conduct unbecoming, consider that most - but not all - roster for 2025-26 have been updated. It is also possible that the student decided to withdraw from the sport for various reasons (including injury) and has not updated their linkedin profile. Bottom line, there are many innocent reasons to explain the discrepancy

100% agree with this.
And would parents know how up-to-date their kids' LinkedIn profiles are? Reminds me to check my kidsit's been at least 6 months.

Wouldn’t 2025 season lacrosse roster be up to date?

Rosters show every person on the team. If the person isn’t there, they are not on the team.

Maybe they were cut?
Bad behavior, drug testing etc?

Definitely ask your niece. Doesn't make sense to have it on LinkedIn but not on the college roster.
