This is where we are. You can’t make a living anymore with a good paying stable job. It’s not available anymore. AI should be regulated. This is already not working out. Where are people supposed to go to get their foot in the door now and make a decent living when everything is being taken over by companies that make more money than they actually need?

And guess what, consumers aren’t going to be able to buy what they offer anyway since so many of us are already unemployed and underemployed.

If you aren’t encouraging your teens to consider the following types of professions, the economic fate of your children is on you.

Athletic Trainer
Carpenter
Chef
Child Care Worker
Dentist
Doctor
Electrician
EMT
Firefighter
HVAC
Human Resources
Lawyer
Mechanic
Mental Health Practitioner
Nurse
Occupational Therapist
Paramedic
Personal Trainer

Plumber
Police Officer
Public Relations
Sales
Social Worker
Speech Pathologist
Teachers
Veterinarian

Only the children of the people who frequent this board can pay for medical and dental school. I am afraid that field of work is closed to a lot of Americans.

Capitalists are greedy AF. When the supply of doctors, nurses and dentists becomes an issue they will import them from overseas and depress wages in the process.

Most of those jobs like personal/athletic trainers or carpenters will see clients dwindles as fewer and fewer people have jobs.

These are all service jobs that depend on a country of customers to service — which we will not have.

AND LAWYER? Hahaha. That’s funny.

Mental health practitioner? Have you read about all the people who use AI for a therapist now? Do you know how expensive regular therapy is for regular people?

It is funny to see how some people practice self pacification with ML masters degree and suggestions to become a chef. Wake up.

AI frees up people to do more interesting and fulfilling work.

Have you been in an Amazon warehouse?

They are extremely safety-conscious. They have very few injuries. Most are already run by robotics, and the ones that are not have been attempted to be retrofitted, but it didn't work, so Amazon walked it back. Bezos is lying. He closed warehouses recently in Florida because in Florida, he could not find competent help and he won't hire unvaxed. He opened more in CA instead. Yep he did.

The other reason Amazon closes warehouses is unions. Any prospect of the union warehouse closing.

Working in warehouses and factories for pennies on the dollar with zero injury protection is coming. Project 2025 100% indicates that. Not only Amazon, but all companies will have skeleton crews doing the work of what people do now ie Project 2025 and no over time pay or benefits will be mandatory ie say good by to employee benefits.

You keep trying, it’s almost endearing.

Police and Firefighters are employees of counties or municipalities. How does Trump or Stephen Miller change the policies at those levels? The general public mistakenly believes that every department receives large allotments of federal funding. They do not. Additionally, Trump’s OBBB created a tax credit for overtime that disproportionately advantages police officers and firefighters.

Do better.

We're going to need a UBI or there will be an even larger massive underclass and full-scale Hunger Games.

And most professional jobs will become worthless. I mean, even more worthless than they already are.

Municipalities won’t displace garbage men, firefighters and cops. Good luck to everyone else.

Today, NVDA's market cap reached 5 Trillion dollars, there are a lot of people who have made tons of money off of NVDA, myself included. However, as I was reading the NVDA reddit forum, I was wondering that we have 2 classes now, one class of people who have the funds to invest in the market and make money and the others who not only can't participate in the stock market AI boom but also are losing their jobs to AI. The situation as it currently stands is unsustainable, I am not hearing any properly thought out arguments as to how do we plan to managing disruption to society on such a large scale.

It's really the tale of two cities and that did not end well for the haves. I am a naturalized citizen, I left my country because middle class in America was solid and strong, it hurts me to see that what I left behind is now becoming the reality here. One one hand people are losing access to food stamps or losing jobs, on the other hand people making lots of money in stock market or in other recession proof careers, the gap is widening and it's heartbreaking. Americans elected to put billionaires in charge of the economy and their future, what could go wrong?
