Will everyone be rehired when we win the midterms?

No one misses USAID or Dept of Ed.

It turns out that while “peace for pallets of cash” thing didn’t work. Turns out Trump is actually good at that, who knew.

Why does OP think democrats are for department of education?

Probably a better way to frame the "we" is "We the People". We the People elect our representatives to congress and congress holds the purse strings. Not the President alone.

So I think that theres a difference between treaties- both economic and military- and controlling global epidemics and raising people out of extreme poverty, WHO KNEW?
What bugs me the most is there is data that shows that USAID had long-term benefits, not just to the people they served but also to the US. Theres no long term data to show anything that Trump has done will last. Hes taking "ceasefires" between countries that have historically been in-and-out of conflict for decades and saying he fixed it. No, he didnt. He isnt a fairy Godmother.
And the democratic world is turning away from the US. The only people turning towards us are other dictatorships and authoritarian regimes, where corruption and income inequality are rampant. Not the horn I would want to be tooting. Turkey, Qatar, Argentina, the list goes on.

How likely is it they will get their jobs back after the midterms?

Zero.
Why do you think anything will change?

Why do you want the USA to subsidize other countries?

Anonymous wrote:Congress could do it even without a change in administration, but they would need the numbers and will to kick out the bureaucrats who think Congress doesn't control spending. The midterms alone are probably not enough of a change to get that done.

Also, whatever we end up with, it won't be a roll back to how things used to be. There might be a USAID 2.0 they can apply to, some day, but not just a blanket reinstatement of programs and staff.

This.
But by then, hopefully and probably they will have found new careers and won’t want to come back.

Ed didn't run the education system, it enforced civil rights. The people who hate Ed, hate it for that.

Did you take HS civics? Having the majority in one chamber gets you a seat to negotiate but you have to have a veto proof majority in both chambers if you don’t have the executive.

With redistricting even claiming a chamber isn’t certain and if you think it is you should probably look outside the local echo chamber

Reinforced civil rights? I think a lot of Asian students would say they were doing the opposite.
