Ask your Dr for Zofran.
Take it an hour or so before you take your next go round of Zep.

Good Luck.

Also, for me Wegovy made me incredibly sick ... Now on Zep and have zero issues.

no thank you

For nausea, my doctor recommended the OTC stuff you can buy at the drugstore. She said it works well for zep-nausea. I didn't have it, so I didn't need to use it.

I don't understand how are people who don't have "side-effects" losing weight? I used Wegovy and it caused nausea and I couldn't eat so I lost weight, but then, when the nausea stopped I started eating again?

Some people just have the appetite suppression without the negative side effects.

It stops all food noise for me, and that’s why I’m not eating. It also stops my cravings. Those are the big reasons I lose weight, not because of the nausea.

Day 1 was fine, Day 2 I felt some mild nausea, Day 3 I woke up very early (4 am?) with nausea, dizziness, sweating, and an urgency to use the bathroom (I can't bring myself to be vulgar here). Once I did, the sweating, dizziness, and worst of the nausea subsided. The episode maybe lasted an hour. Low level blah and nausea the remainder of the day. In the days since, I've felt fine 80% of the time with some low level nausea and just blah-ness. But I'm dreading my second shot tomorrow. Any advice to help minimize the size effects? I've added in daily electrolytes hoping this might help. Anyone have a similar experience on the first shot and then they leveled out?

Today was the first day that I worked out since injection day and I didn't feel as strong as I usually do. I typically work out 4-5 days/ week (pilates/ barre) and I'm worried I am going to be missing workouts and losing muscle instead of fat. Hoping it evens out and I begin to feel like myself again - any tips welcome!

Not normal at all. I’ve been on zepbpund with zero side effects at all. If you are feeling his way at lowest dose then maybe this drug is not for you.

Lucky you with zero side effects. It took me about six weeks to get used to the medication and my side effects were very similar to OP. I lost a little bit of muscle in that time but afterwards kept my muscle mass pretty constant even after losing 50 lbs.

Any update OP? Did you have a similar reaction to subsequent shots?

I had almost exactly the same reaction one time about 4 days into my first dose (also 2.5) but of semaglutide. Pain, shaking and sweating and feeling absolutely miserable. It lasted about 2 hours.
I’ve now had 5 weeks of shots and beyond some mild nausea no other side effects. It’s possible it just doesn’t agree with you and you shouldn’t take it but I think it’s probably worth trying one or two more times to see if the reaction reoccurs.

I'm not sure why you think the side effects are the reason people lose weight. The actual effect of this medication is to reduce the food noise, regulate hormones, and suppress your appetite. I get all of that without any side effects.

If I eat a clean diet (lean meats, vegetables, grains, fruits, yogurt, etc.), I feel just fine. I haven't had any side effects outside of TE/hair loss.

This was my experience too. Anything "junk food" was guaranteed to make me feel ill. But also, the urge to eat that stuff just disappeared, so it wasn't actually a problem. I found as long as I exercised a smidgen of self control around alcohol and junk food, the side effects were minimal. But a second drink or a handful of chips? Probably gonna lose it.

This seems like a torturous method of weight loss.

It seems like a forced moderation. I imagine op and others as dogs with shock collars and food is the electric fence. Of course if you get shocked (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) every time you cross the invisible fence (food), you are going to lose weight.
