How does regional IB work?

It will be the only IB in region 1. Einstein just loses IB classes.

Not necessarily. TBD.

So Einstein HS didn't offer IB diploma?

It does now but the new proposal takes it away.

How many students were completing IBDP at Einstein HS/year?

Arts is not going away is it? The visual arts program at Einstein?

VAC remains at Einstein.

Each region has an IB program that students from that region can apply to.

Performing arts go away to Northwood. Visual arts is up in the air but they are saying it won’t be a countywide magnet.

So is it Loiderman MS to Northwood HS if student wants to continue performing arts?

No, they're in different regions.

Where will Loiderman MS students attend for performing arts if Northwood is in another region?

High school students are/were getting bussed in middle of day to Einstein (or was it Edison) for the arts program is what we heard.

Bused to Edison.

VAC remains at Einstein.

The VAC is only fine arts and its only a small number of kids. So, Einstein will lose IB, has only a very small number of AP and very little STEM. Families will flee Einstein. We will not be sending our youngest if this happens and either move or go private, which is unfortunate.

I think they are improving BCC because its financially more comfortable and already has a lot of offerings. Einstein doesn't.

If Einstein no longer has IB (which is not yet decided), it will have more AP classes instead.
