Interesting #s. When I graduated from the APS system in the early 90's I don't recall Christopher Newport U. on my radar, but it was still a relatively young university.
Seems like a good size and nice campus - perhaps a regional school on the rise? But for a school with an acceptance rate of 88% and an early acceptance rate of 92.9% it's interesting they only accepted 93 of the 170 APS students that applied. No love for Arlington! |
I don't think most people really care what any magazine thinks - including USNWR - but we're generally a content hungry public at this point and people enjoy both validation and ammunition wherever they can find it. |
You're both idiots. All the magazine did was publish data -- the 20 colleges that received the most applications from APS students and their acceptance rates. It doesn't matter if it were the Taliban that published it. The magazine isn't "thinking" anything at all. It's useful data for APS families to have as part of their college search regardless of who publishes it. Assuming, of course, that it's accurate. |
I see you get your ammunition here. Whatever it takes to make you feel good about yourself. |
I think it’s a list of where kids from APS matriculated. It isn’t a ranking. |
There's absolutely no way that VCU rejected that many APS students - something's off. |
Sorry, but you're just being stupid. It's not "ammunition." It's information. It's statistics. Nothing more than that. |
ODU's numbers look low too. And Marymount. So I'm skeptical as well. |
| The Mason admit rate is lower than I would have expected, given the overall admit rate of the school. |
| It's not what Arlington Magazine thinks --- it's statistics, |
I beg to differ, it was really interesting last year to see DD’s friends getting accepted or rejected from certain schools. If schools thought your GPA was way too high, they were not going to accept you - yield protection. Also, unfortunately, I heard of a handful of kids getting rejected due to AI detected essays. |
I believe in information and statistics. You believe in being a prick on the internet to feed your ego. You're a sad person. |
Poor baby. |
We can take it outside. Lets say the Italian Store. Your sandwich of choice. 10 paces. |
