How honest are you with self-checkout?

| I am NOT honest, but never in my own favor haha. Last night I did self checkout and actually paid for an extra item I didn’t have as I was beyond frustrated and just wanted to get out of there! Never have issues with Safeway’s self checkout system but whatever system Harris Teeter is using is terrible. Multiple times I would scan , bag, and then get a message item wasn’t scanned properly so would have to remove it and re-scan. A checker already had to come over multiple times to fix fake errors the machine had so by the time I double scanned something I gave up and decided I would just pay for an item I didn’t have just to get the hell out of there! So I’m not always honest, but never has it been in my favor! I’ve paid more than needed just to leave or paid a higher price than advertised on the shelf as dealing with someone to fix too much of a hassle. |

My step-father refuses to use self-checkout on principles of labor solidarity. Which I used to roll my eyes about--after all, who cares about a stupid grocery bagger...
Well, turns out he was right. Now that AI is coming for all of us, I see the light. Self-checkout was the warning shot, destroyed jobs, enriched corporations, and left us all with a MUCH worse human experience. |

Yes, always.
Regular checkout: one time as I was nearing my car, I realized that the checker had not scanned the four seltzer water six packs on the bottom of my cart. I did not go back in. |

I always scan everything but sometimes I will ring up heirloom tomatoes as heirloom tomatoes.
They don't charge for bags where I live but I'd definitely be dishonest on that if they started charging. |

| I scan everything. I've done stuff before, like pretending my kids were younger to get a cheaper kids' meal price, sneaking my own food into the movie theater, etc. But I'm older now, and I'm more honest. LOL. I always scan everything and pay for my bags. |
