Not OP, but one of my favorite foods growing up was squash casserole with rice and cheese. Could you please post your recipe?

NP. My 17 and 19 year old asked me this summer to make jello. Not sure where the idea came from. But I am on box 3 now.

My mom used to make popsicles from jello and koolaid. I think you can still get the molds.

We own three of these because brunch and Easter dinner require a lot (also we just use them a ton). Scalloped potatoes, roasted green beans, baked French toast, rolls, cake (so many kinds!), lasagna, cookie bars, chicken casserole, egg strata….

5. 1 cup coconut
6. 1 cup chopped walnuts
7. 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

Gooey Butter Cake
Combine and spread in 9 x 13" pan for crust:
1 box pound cake mix, 2 eggs, 1 stick melted butter.
Mix together and spread over cake mix:
1 8-oz. pkg softened cream cheese, 2 eggs,
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 lb. box powdered sugar (reserving 1/2 cup of powdered sugar).
Sprinkle the reserved powdered sugar over cheese mixture.
Bake 325-350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

These sound amazing. I love the seven layer cookie squares. Yum!

Jello is fantastic for when a fever goes down and there's a tiny spark of appetite finally.

It's also one of the few approved food items pre-colonoscopy.

Yep, they’re family favorites. The Pina Colada cake is especially refreshing in the summer heat.

Just in case it wasn’t clear, you should let everything cool before chilling. TEMPERATURE SHOCK CAN SHATTER PYREX.

If these recipes appeal to you, you might also like my recipes for frozen yogurt pie and monkey bread, although they use different pans.

Frozen Yogurt Pie:
Mix 2 fruit yogurt containers with one tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip. If desired, you can add jam for extra fruit flavor. Spoon into graham cracker crust. Freeze. (Note: yogurt containing gelatin will result in a spongey, Chiffon-like? pie. I prefer using yogurt/Greek yogurt that doesn't contain gelatin.)

Monkey Bread:
4 cans biscuits - the traditional kind, not Grands, not layers (40 biscuits total).
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Cut (or tear) biscuits into fourths. Mix together 2/3 cups sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Roll each piece in mixture. Drop biscuits into greased 12-cup Bundt pan. Combine remaining sugar, cinnamon, margarine, and vanilla. Boil. Pour over biscuits. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 minutes. Turn immediately out onto a plate and served warm. Can be wrapped in foil and reheated.

I make a lemon version of the gooey butter cake. It's delicious. Use a lemon cake mix and add lemon extract and lemon zest.

I haven't made it in years but will look for it. It had cheese but no rice.

Is 9x11 a typo? That’s a weird size.

Agree. Do you mean 7x11? I use one of those often for oatmeal carmelitas.
