| People think STEM is relevant? |
+1 Yeah, it's also not like the old days when fewer students attended college and high-achieving students were concentrated in a few prestigious institutions. Nowadays, most high school seniors pursue higher education, and talented students are distributed across many universities throughout the country. |
| The Ivy League is an athletic conference that is very much relevant. |
| The best thing about being an Ivy (actually, double Ivy) grad is knowing how much we live inside the heads of the terminally resentful. |
You are not an ivy grad. People should resent these institutions-they’re morally bankrupt and produce so many miserable and evil world “leaders” |
A lot of stem that needs to be relevant is being plowed through and is underpaid. Cancer research makes so little, while being an ai/ml researcher for a questionable financial organization nets you 100s of thousands of dollars. |
| Berkeley? |
| Some Maga seem to be eager to replace the foreign students they want to kick out and other Magar do not want to attend at all. Pick your poison I guess. |
Wrong. And we/they produce leaders. Some are good and some are not. |
|
No. I’m blown away by the ease of things— internship abroad, etc.
It’s a bunch of stupid smoke and mirrors. These institutions have been around since the 1600/1700s they will survive and thrive while baby dementia will b gone in 3.5 years. |
Ha!!! So true. They want DEI for dumb Americans. |
| For an irrelevant non-factor, this current political administration is spending a lot of time and energy on trying to destroy high-level education. |
+1 my sophomore has had so many amazing opportunities…in this climate/economy too |
- in college athletics. Not much else. |
gTFA u say this every single time. It’s ridiculous |
