Do you only want new ones or are you open to old ones that still hit most of the time? |
Hacks Somebody Somewhere The Good Place Starstruck Master of None Ted Lasso Brooklyn Nine Nine Lovesick The Mindy Project |
2 Australian shows come to mind. They have a different kind of humor that just is, well, hilarious.
Fisk (didn't love the first episode); and Colin From Accounts |
The Connors, Bob ❤️ Abishola, The Neighborhood, George and Mandy’s First Marriage if you’re looking for lighter comedies but with heart. |
Superstore is so funny. I don’t know why it didn’t get more love. |
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Quirky and fun and endearing. |
I know you said no live audience, but I enjoyed Hot in Cleveland. It’s on paramount+. It’s just mindless fun and silliness. I rewatched it just a couple weeks ago (I’m currently unemployed and desperate for things to make me laugh) - I had watched it while it was actually on. Betty White was so amazing acting into her 90s. |
Some of the snappiest writing I've ever seen in a sitcom was How I Met Your Mother. If you haven't seen it, it's similar to Friends with a gang of five friends in NYC. However, the story jumps back and forth in time and they have clever, long-running jokes that last for seasons. Very funny. |

I just binged that recently. I had tried to watch it a few times before and never got more than a few episodes in. It was cute. I also watched Superstore on streaming rather than while it was on tv. Enjoyed that one, too. |
I randomly started watching an Australian show on Netflix called Upper Middle Bogan a couple weeks ago. That might work for you.
Have you watched Laid on Peacock? It’s only 8 episodes, iirc. |
A little older, but have you watched My Name is Earl or Raiding Hope? Created by the same guy who grew up in this area.
I just started rewatching Raising Hope on Hulu for the 3rd or 4th time. It always makes me laugh. |
Raising, not Raiding. Sorry, iphone typing |
Agreed! |
