There are a gazillion essentially 100% acceptance rate schools like KSU.

Why is it even on your radar to start?

I feel like there is one poster (maybe the same person?) who is always questioning why schools are on someone's radar. Isn't this a place to collect information/experiences? Does it matter why a school is on someone's radar????????

But to answer your question--we are NOVA family and DD is looking for a college that is akin to JMU but that will likely admit her and give her merit. She's at best a 3.25 GPA. We heard that Kansas State might fit the bill. If you have other suggestions, I am happy to hear them.

VCU
Alabama
LSU
Ole Miss
University of Iowa
Iowa State
University of Nebraska
University of Oregon
University of Kentucky
100+ others

How is KSU similar to JMU? I have never heard anyone include the two in the same sentence.

It's completely random to say I want a place like JMU and then pluck KSU out of the ether.

Have family from Kansas. They'd all tell you KU over K-State any day.

Kansas is flyover country. Hard pass.

Spoken like someone who has definitely never been there, or really anywhere in the midwest.

I was at Kansas State for work a few years ago and was really impressed - great town (albeit in the middle of nowhere), beautiful campus, and really engaged students.

Not surprised it's getting s#it on here as it isn't "elite" but I think it has a lot to offer to the right student.

It's literally next to impossible to not get accepted...your CC has to get declined when you try to apply. You have to try a little harder with your trolling.

Same with KU. Just know, there is a 30% freshman drop out rate and I think only 50% graduate in 4 years. The philosophy is let everyone I'm and see who graduates.

I think there is a sliding scale at the Kansas flagships. She will get merit and it will be close to full freight in state, rather than OOS It think it might be published somewhere.

Maybe you should try a little harder to show us both the brain cell, instead of just the one.

Maybe you need to learn the English language before you respond.

KSU has a 95% acceptance rate...which is functionally 100% with the 5% having a technical deficiency in their application (i.e., transcript was never sent, LOR never sent, etc.).

Nobody is rejected.

Stats--3.5GPA; probably test optional. 3 Sports Varsity level all 4 years. Loves the idea of a sport school. Doesn't love emo vibes. We are liberal but DD hasn't fully formed her politics and probably wants to stay away from very political schools (small liberal arts type). Would this be a school to consider?

You are not liberal if you are even considering this.

Wth is wrong with you sending a DD to a state like Kansas? ZERO medical care ZERO.

Shame on you and you are literally stupid.

+1
You either want your daughter to die or are have clinically low intelligence.
